Eggs for Bush's Anti-Terrorist Omlet I can't believe that the American people are so incredibly gullible. George Bush may TALK like a big, bad, macho Conservative, if you're into that whole Wild-West sort of thing, but he ACTS more like some Liberal fairy princess. I just wish that people's knees would quit jerking to the tune of God Bless America long enough to realize it. If Bush was doing his job, we wouldn't be hearing about lines at airports, changes in our lifestyle, increasing the defense budget and/or turning America into a police state, because there wouldn't still be anyone alive in the Middle-East who didn't like Americans. It's time to dust off the history books and read-up on the last war we actually won. The key to success in WWII was making as many people dead as we had to in order to make the world safe (for us). We pioneered the concept of "carpet bombing" German civilians (to disrupt their war industry), and we're the "good-guys." Let's not have any of that "innocent bystanders" crud, either. When the Germans occupied France, we killed as many of our "allies" as was necessary to get the job done. And, don't even get me started on Japan. Not content with merely "carpet bombing" their civilians, we added a little fuel to the fire and turned up the heat with incendiary raids. (I won't even mention Hiroshima and Nagasaki.) The key to losing, on the other hand, is this "limited war" nonsense Bush is piddlin' around with in the Middle-East. If Viet Nam taught us anything, it's that pulling punches is a sure way for a first-world power to get its butt kicked by some third-world cluster fumble. The bottom line is, all Bush is really doing is milking this "911" thing for political advantage. He is obviously more worried about kissing up to his Saudi masters and generating revenue for the Military-Industrial Complex than he is about the safety and welfare of the American people. |
